School News

 AUTHOR VISITS Q.E.S. - Thank you to Award winning Canadian author, Tim Wynne Jones for presenting his books and reading excerpts to all of our grade five children on Nov. 17, 2009.  As the only school in the district to have a presentation, the children were a wonderful audience and hopefully were inspired to continue to craft their writing skills.  Thank you to the TD Bank for their sponsorship of the Canadian Children's Book Week and for their help with the tour.

Thumbs Up Awards - Our school has started a program where children will be recognized for making a positive contribution to our school.  We have had several students receive their "Thumbs Up" sticker, have had their name and accomplishment recorded in the pride book in the office, and their photo taken for a display in the hall by the kitchen. 

Welcome to Kindergarten - Nov. 24 - 3:30 OR 5:30 appointments to be made for next year's Kindergarten children.  Kindergarten Registration was during the week of Oct. 13-16.  If you were not able to book an appointment on Oct. 26 at the first meeting, please contact the school to let us know which time is your preference.
